With a diverse background in nursing and working across areas such as intensive care, Community Health, Defence Health and Education, Jenny has seen first-hand how people and communities can be affected by mental health problems.
Her life experiences have led her toward opportunities that allow her to help others and she was quickly drawn to Mental Health First Aid. Mental Health First Aid is a global movement providing the skills to support people with a mental health problem.
Working with People Smartz Pty Ltd, Jenny trains others to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider on behalf of Mental Health First Aid Australia (MHFA).
MHFA courses are evidence-based, and go through a process of continuous evaluation, using rigorous scientific methods, providing participants with learning opportunities and skills to offer first aid for a mental health problem.
